Wins and verification
A win is a live page confirmed to carry your brand, or a post you published with its link. Outcomes lists your wins and each one is checked about once a week. When a mention comes down, the account's owners and admins get an email.

Outcomes is the wins screen of your report. It lists every placement you earned in the period, checks each one about once a week, and keeps a removed mention in history with its date. Open Reports and pick Outcomes, or press g then w. On a share link and in the PDF, the same screen is called Wins.
A win is a live page confirmed to carry your brand, or a post you published with its link. Pitches, replies and a publisher's yes never count. Use this screen to confirm agreed placements once they are live, record wins from elsewhere and keep the record accurate.
What you see
- The cover: "Verified wins" for the period, with one sentence saying how many are still live at the latest check and how many were followed by visibility movement on their linked prompts.
- Three tiles: "Live placements" (still on the page at the most recent check), "Removed placements" (kept in history with their removal dates) and "Wins with movement".
- Two working panels (in the app, when they hold anything): "Agreed placements: confirm which are live" and "Awaiting a live check". Nothing in either counts yet.
- Delivered brand mentions: one proof card per win: the publisher, the page, the live date, a status chip, when it was last checked, the prompt it answers and the movement after it went live.
The list holds the wins whose live date falls in the period and topic you picked; All time shows every win. Open a card to read it on the Impact timeline (see Impact and outcomes).
| Chip | What it means |
|---|---|
| Live and verified | A check, or you, confirmed the brand mention on the page. |
| Unconfirmed online | You marked a reply, post, listing or profile as posted with its link, and no check has found it yet. It counts as a win, dated by the day you posted it. |
| Removed, with a date | The mention is gone, or you marked it removed. The win stays in history with that date. |
How a win is checked
Every live placement is checked about once a week, and so is every placement awaiting a live check. The check reads the page and looks for your brand.
- A page that no longer exists is marked removed straight away.
- A page that loads without your brand is marked removed after two checks in a row.
- Posts on sites that cannot be read automatically, such as Quora and Facebook groups, keep their last status.
- Reddit is slow to check, so a Reddit post can read "Unconfirmed online" for a while.
To check now, press "Verify placements (N)". It re-checks every live win in the list you are viewing (the period and topic you picked) and every placement awaiting a live check; removed wins are history and are left out. One press checks up to 10 Reddit pages, and the toast says how many more wait for their weekly check.
When a placement is removed
When the check marks a win removed, its card dims and its chip reads "Removed" with the date. The win stays in the report history, and the page goes back to Agreed to place so it can be pitched again.
The next morning, the account's owners and admins get one email titled "A placement dropped your mention", followed by the page title. It holds a link to the page and an "Open the wins record" button. It is sent once per placement, and only for removals the check made. Marking a win removed yourself sends nothing, and members are not mailed (see Members and roles).
Confirm an agreed placement
A publisher's yes lands under "Agreed placements: confirm which are live". It stays there, counting as nothing, until you confirm the page is live.
- Open the page and look for the mention.
- Check the suggested "Live date" against the page and pick the "Primary topic".
- Choose "It is live: record it now" to attest it yourself, or "Queue a live check" to let a check confirm it.
- Press "Confirm live" (or "Queue check") on the row. "Confirm N as live" (or "Queue N checks") does every ready row at once.
A row with no linked prompt or no primary topic says what it needs before it can be confirmed. Press "Dismiss" on a page that will never be placed; it moves to Lost.
Placements you queued wait under "Awaiting a live check", out of every number. Press "Confirm live" if you can see the mention, or "Discard" if it never went live. A discarded page can be recorded again later.
Record a win by hand
Use "Add manual win" for a placement delivered outside outreach.
- On Outcomes, press "Add manual win".
- Enter the "Page URL" and the "First verified live date" (today or earlier).
- Pick a "Placement type", add a "Placement title" and pick the "Primary topic". A win needs a primary topic, so the save is refused without one.
- Under "Linked prompts", check the prompts the placement was meant to influence. At least one is required.
- Add any "Notes" for the report reader.
- Leave "Queue a live check instead of recording it live now" unchecked to confirm it yourself, or check it to hold the win until a check finds the mention.
- Press "Add win".
A URL already recorded as a win for the project is refused.
You can also press "Mark as win" on a conversation in the Inbox or on a reply card in the deck. The win is recorded at once, dated today; use "Edit live date" if the page published earlier. If the page has no topic or no linked prompt yet, the message says where to finish it. In Opportunities, "Live placement" cannot be set by hand: recording the win is what sets it.
Posted wins
A reply, new post, listing or profile becomes a win in Outreach, under Posts, when you press "Mark as posted" (or "Mark as submitted", "Mark as claimed") with the link where it landed.
- A reply or new post needs the link to the post itself. It counts from that day when it names your brand.
- A post that does not name your brand counts as sent, not as a win.
- A listing or profile can be submitted without its link. Add the public link under Done and press "Count it as a win".
- Claiming a profile that already named your brand is recorded, not counted as a new win.
- A post whose page has no topic or no linked prompt is not counted yet. The message after the press says what to fix.
When a win counts
| What you have | Is it a win? |
|---|---|
| A pitch, a reply, or Agreed to place | No |
| A page your brand was on before any outreach (Live already) | No. If you placed it, use "Add manual win". |
| A placement awaiting a live check | Not yet: once a check finds the mention, or you press "Confirm live" |
| A page you or a check confirmed live | Yes, from its live date |
| A posted reply or post that names your brand | Yes, from the day you posted it |
| A removed placement | It stays in the period it went live in, and leaves "Live placements" |
A win belongs to the period that holds its live date. "Edit live date" moves it on the timeline, and its before-and-after comparison is measured from the new date.
Keep the record accurate
Each card's "Win actions" menu holds:
- "Edit live date" (or "Edit posted date"): set it to the day the page actually published.
- "Mark removed": keeps the win in history with today's date and sends the page back to Agreed to place. "Restore as live" (or "Restore as a win") counts it again.
- "Delete record": removes the win entirely, history included. Use it only for an entry that was never a real placement.
Good to know
- Every report period ends yesterday, so a win dated today joins the Outcomes list the next day.
- A client on the share link or the PDF sees the delivered wins, their movement and their evidence. Agreed placements, placements awaiting a check, your pitch lines, what the publisher said and the win menus stay in the app. See Sharing, printing and briefings.
- Movement after a win is an association, never proof that the placement caused it.
- Your agent can record a placement, confirm agreed placements as live, edit one and check placements now. Recording, confirming, and changing whether a placement is live, its address or its live date always wait for you as a change card: only you confirm that a page is live. Deleting a placement stays yours, on this screen. See Change cards: apply and undo.
