The inbox

Every reply your outreach earns lands in the Inbox with the AI's read of it and, when you ask, a draft answer you edit and send from the same mailbox the pitch went from. Nothing sends until you press Send reply, or Spot or your agent sends it where you set "Emails and posts to publishers" to Apply at once.

Updated October 22, 2026Markdown

The Inbox is where every conversation your sequences started comes back to you. A reply stops the sequence's follow-ups and moves the conversation to the front of the list. You read the thread, take an AI draft if you want one, and reply from the mailbox the pitch went from.

Nothing here sends on its own: the AI read, the AI draft and the nudge only put text in front of you. You press "Send reply", or Spot or your agent does where you set "Emails and posts to publishers" to Apply at once, never under a mandate.

Conversations: the list

Open Inbox in your project. Each row carries one state chip, and the chip is whose turn it is whenever there is one:

  • "Needs reply": they wrote last, so it is your turn.
  • "Awaiting · 5d": you wrote last, and the number is the days since. The "Awaiting" filter lists only conversations they had answered: an unanswered pitch is followed up by its sequence.
  • "Nudge? · 6d": the wait has reached your reply reminder setting. Pressing the chip opens the thread with a follow-up already drafted.
  • "Unmatched reply": an email from someone else at the publisher that the Inbox could only suggest for this thread.

Otherwise the chip is the sequence state ("Draft", "Sending", "Paused", "Completed", "Stopped", "Replied" or "Bounced"), and a tone chip ("Positive", "Neutral" or "Negative") joins it once the AI has read the latest reply. An accent dot marks a reply nobody has decided on.

"Needs reply" and "Awaiting", each with its count, and "All" are always on screen. The "More" menu adds "Needs a nudge", "Unmatched", "Replies", "To triage", "Bounced" and "Sending". The list holds the latest 200 conversations by sequence activity.

The thread and the reply box

The thread shows its subject once, then every message oldest to newest, theirs on the left and yours on the right, with quoted text folded behind "Show quoted text". An email you sent by hand from the mailbox itself shows with a dashed edge and a label that follows the mailbox: "Sent from Gmail", "Sent from Outlook" or "Sent from your mail app". It never counts as an email the platform sent, never moves the sequence, and the AI read of a reply (tone, summary, flags) never covers it. Where the price stands is still read across it; see Fees, placements and wins.

The header's second line says who your reply goes to: the person who wrote last, everyone else on their email and the pitched contact, never your own mailbox. You can remove anyone with × but never add an address.

"Send reply" sends from the sequence's mailbox and threads under the last message; Ctrl/Cmd + Enter does the same. If the mailbox has lapsed, a line above the box says so, with a "Reconnect" chip that opens Settings, then Mailboxes (see Mailboxes).

The AI read

Every reply gets an AI read: its tone, a one-line summary, any price quoted ("They asked for $100 · link insertion") and "Out of office until 12 Sep." when they are away. The read helps you sort replies and decides nothing. An out-of-office auto-reply or a bounce never makes it your turn.

The AI draft and guiding it

A lead line above the reply box says where things stand in one sentence ("They asked £350: the draft negotiates within your fee policy."). Beside "Send reply" sits one primary button for the next step:

  • "Draft a reply with AI" writes a draft from what this project has approved: its claims, its never-say list and, where money comes up, its fee policy. Where those do not answer their question, the draft promises to come back to them rather than guessing. It lands in an empty reply box; if you had typed your own words, "Use AI draft instead" swaps it in and "Undo" brings your text back.
  • "Use anyway" appears on a flagged draft (a figure outside your limits, or a never-say word). It stays out of the box until you choose it.
  • "Draft a nudge" takes the button's place once your message has waited at least a day on a conversation they had answered.

The toolbar beside it holds the rest. While a price is open and your fee policy negotiates or accepts, it offers "Negotiate down" and "Agree" (lettered "A ·" and "B ·" when both show): Negotiate down counters below their ask inside your fee limits, Agree accepts their figure and moves on to payment. "Agree" shows only when their ask is within your ceiling. "Guide the draft" takes one instruction of up to 400 characters ("accept $100, ask for the invoice") that the next draft follows; it outranks the fee policy but never your hard limits. "Details" lists every flag and "Why this draft". The fee policy is set in project settings; see Fees, placements and wins.

The details rail

On a wide screen the rail sits beside the thread; on a narrower one, a "Details" button opens it.

  • The page: its title, the publisher domain, "Open" for the opportunity drawer, and its 0 to 100 priority for outreach; the "Priority score" hint in the opportunity drawer names the reasons.
  • Triage, on a reply nobody has decided: "Interested", "Agreed" (a win once the page is confirmed live), "Lost", or "Do not contact", which asks you to confirm and then makes every send in your organization refuse the address (see Do not contact). You can still reply inside the thread.
  • Sequence: the state, "2 of 3 sent", "stopped by the reply" or the next email date, and the deal line once anyone named a price ("Agreed at $100 · invoice sent"). "Resume" and "Stop" sit here when they apply; Resume past a reply counts as your decision to keep pitching.

"Mark as win" appears at the end of the lead line on a thread they answered. Press it once the page is live: the win counts in your report at once and the placement checks keep re-reading the page.

Hand-offs and threads at other addresses

  • Unmatched mail. An email from someone else at the publisher waits under the "Unmatched" filter. "Attach to this conversation" makes it part of the thread, and the AI then reads it; "Not this conversation" hides the suggestion and leaves the email in your mailbox.
  • A colleague took over. The header reads "<colleague> · via <contact>'s thread" and the lead carries "Make <first name> the contact". Press it and the Inbox, Autopilot and your next reply follow them. It is refused while the sequence still has emails waiting for the current contact.
  • The same person at another address. The row reads "2 threads", their messages show in one timeline, and the price is read across all of them. Replies go to the address they wrote from last; "Open that thread" takes you to the one their latest reply landed on.

Reply reminders and nudges

The "Reply reminders" card in your project's settings sets how long to wait on a publisher who replied before the Inbox marks the conversation "Nudge?" and the Autopilot deck deals a follow-up card. "Remind me when a reply is [N] working days old" is 4 working days by default, counted Monday to Friday, up to 30; 0 turns reminders off. Only an admin or owner can change it.

A nudge is a short follow-up the AI writes from the whole conversation: it asks plainly for the one thing you are waiting on, with no new claims and no new figures.

All replies and export

Switch to "All replies" at the head of the list pane. A lead band reads "Replies to <brand>'s outreach" with the total and four figures: "Positive", "Fee asks", "Publishers" and "Bounces". The band counts the whole record and never moves with a filter.

Filter by "Verdict", "Fee", "Bounces" (hidden by default), "Publisher" and received dates; sort by Received, Verdict or Fee asked, with prices grouped by currency and never converted. The columns run Received (in UTC), Who, Publisher (the domain of the page you pitched), Verdict, What they said, Fee asked, Fee for, Their words, Asked before, Page, Page URL, Email, Sequence, Triaged (blank is your work queue) and Bounce. Expand a row for its page facts, then press "Open the conversation" to answer it.

"Export CSV" downloads the current view with its filters, its sort and every column, as a file named "responses-<brand>-<date>.csv".

Good to know

  • Wins marked here land in Outcomes in Reports; see Wins and verification.
  • An agent connected over MCP can read the conversations waiting on you. It never replies to a publisher; you do.
