How this tool worksUses AI to work from your brief, audience and language. An optional source URL is fetched and its original page text is extracted; scripts are not executed. Outputs are editable suggestions, not live search measurements. Review factual claims and platform fit before publishing.
A SHORT, USEFUL SUMMARY
Draft the summary from its subject, value and next step
A useful description tells readers what they will find and why it matters to their task. Start with the page’s topic, real differentiators and available next step.
Compare the draft summaries and their character counts. Keep the wording that adds useful context to the title and matches the page.
A practical workflow
How to use the Meta description generator
Describe the page accurately
Add the page topic, audience, main value and available action. A public source URL is optional; a sufficiently detailed brief also works.
Set the writing context
Choose a tone and language, and add a target phrase if useful. Mention any wording, offers or claims that the description must avoid.
Edit the selected snippet
Compare the drafts and counts, then copy your choice. Check it with the title and opening paragraph before saving it in your CMS.
Build the summary from three useful parts.
Build a balcony-gardening summary from its subject, practical value and next step.
Start a small balcony herb garden.
Help a beginner identify the guide and its scope.
MAKE THE SPACE WORK
Use the description to add information.
Repeating the title word for word uses space without helping the decision. Let the title identify the page, then use the description to clarify its scope, audience or practical value. One strong detail is often more useful than several vague benefits joined together.
The generator aims for descriptions around 140–160 characters, with a 160-character limit for each returned draft. Use the count to edit while preserving a necessary qualification. Search engines can display a different amount of text or choose another excerpt.
SUMMARY, VALUE, ACTION
Build the description from evidence you already have.
Build a description brief around the guide’s subject, practical value and next step.
Make the opening relevant immediately.
Explain the reader’s situation. A beginner guide for renters with a small balcony gives the description a clear audience and scope.

Name the reader and the task the page helps with.
WRITE FOR THE REAL PAGE
Keep the snippet and the destination consistent.
A polished description can still mislead if the page has changed. Recheck prices, availability, downloadable resources and audience claims before applying it. For product pages, distinguish a feature included now from an outcome a customer may achieve later. The generator cannot establish either fact from a thin brief.
Search engines can choose other page text for a result, so a saved meta description is not a guaranteed displayed snippet. Use it as a concise editorial summary of the page, and keep the visible content equally clear. A separate SEO analyser can inspect the description currently present in public HTML.

Questions, answered
Meta description generator: your questions answered
A closer look at the inputs, method and next steps.
Do I need a live page URL?
No. Supply a brief, a public URL, or both. If the page is unfinished or private, paste the relevant text and explain the intended offer. A URL typed into the dedicated source field is retrieved before generation.
How should the description work with my title?
Let the title identify the page, then use the description to add scope, practical detail or a relevant next step. The generator aims for five alternatives; compare the actual drafts and choose the clearest combination.
Can I use the same description on similar pages?
You can reuse a writing approach, but check whether each page answers a different need. Include the feature, location, category or resource that makes the destination specific instead of copying a summary that could describe anything.
Should I include the target keyword?
Include it when it names the subject naturally. The optional keyword helps guide the draft, but forcing repeated matches can make a short description awkward. Read it as a sentence addressed to a person with a task.
Does a public URL include the whole rendered page?
No. The source reader extracts a limited amount of initial HTML text and does not run scripts. Add missing details in the brief, especially if the offer appears in interactive content or beyond the retrieved excerpt.
Does the generator update search results?
No. It returns text for you to review and apply. It does not publish, request indexing or control which snippet a search engine selects. Keep your final wording accurate even when another excerpt is displayed.
