Best AI Visibility Tools in 2026: 8 Platforms Compared

Compare eight AI visibility platforms by where their workflows stop, from monitoring and source evidence to prioritised action and remeasurement.

AI visibility workflow: monitor, diagnose, prioritise, act and remeasure

Look, we know putting sourcesignal.ai first in a comparison we publish could look biased.

So don’t take our word for it.

We’ve checked every platform against its own current product and pricing pages, published the criteria we used and shown exactly where each workflow stops.

Our conclusion is simple.

If you only need monitoring, several of these tools will do the job.

If you want to find influential source gaps, prioritise them, approve outreach and keep measuring afterwards, sourcesignal.ai is the strongest overall option here.

The shortlist

  1. sourcesignal.ai: strongest overall for source-led prioritisation, controlled outreach and remeasurement

  2. Peec AI: clear daily monitoring and strong source-gap analysis

  3. Searchable: daily monitoring plus prioritised content and technical work

  4. Profound: broad enterprise intelligence and configurable Agents

  5. Semrush AI Visibility: AI visibility inside a wider SEO and PR stack

  6. Ahrefs Brand Radar: large-scale search-backed research plus custom prompt tracking

  7. Scrunch: persona-led monitoring, source analysis and owned-site optimisation

  8. OtterlyAI: accessible monitoring and practical citation-gap shortlists

How we compared them

We compared each platform using five practical criteria.

We checked prices, plan limits, engine coverage and key features against official pages on 11 September 2026.

Bigger indexes and larger allowances matter, but they did not decide the ranking.

We gave most weight to what happens after a meaningful gap appears.

  • Does it repeat prompts tied to real buying decisions?

  • Can you inspect full answers and the source pages behind them?

  • Does it show page-level gaps where competitors appear and your brand does not?

  • Can it prioritise those gaps so the team knows what to tackle first?

  • Can the team approve the next action and keep measuring afterwards?

1. sourcesignal.ai

SourceSignal homepage showing its AI search intelligence and targeted outreach proposition alongside a product visual
SourceSignal connects AI visibility evidence with targeted outreach.

Best for: teams that want to turn a third-party source gap into approved action without losing the evidence along the way.

sourcesignal.ai runs the buyer questions you choose across nine engines, keeps the answers and source pages and compares your presence with competitors.

It scores each actionable opportunity from 0–100 relative to the rest of your batch, so the team can see what to tackle first.

For an approved opportunity, it finds and verifies a contact, drafts the pitch and waits for a person to approve it.

The email goes through the user’s Gmail or Outlook and replies come back to the same inbox.

Later runs stay with the original record, so you can see whether citation or mention patterns changed after a placement.

That shows an association, not proof that one placement caused the movement.

It suits in-house and agency teams focused on third-party source opportunities.

Teams that mainly want automated owned-content production or a huge pre-collected prompt index may prefer to pair it with another platform.

Self-serve plans start at £149 per month.

2. Peec AI

Peec AI homepage showing its AI search analytics proposition and analytics dashboard
Peec AI presents AI search analytics for marketing teams.

Peec AI keeps monitoring easy to understand.

Each active prompt returns one answer per selected model on the tracking schedule.

Teams can open the answers, separate source pages from visible citations and use Gap Score to rank domains and URLs where competitors appear but their brand does not.

Starter includes 50 prompts, three selected models, unlimited users, daily tracking and one project.

Peec offers a 15% discount for annual billing, but its pricing page did not expose a monetary price in accessible text when we checked it on 11 September 2026.

Check the live checkout price before buying.

It is a good fit for teams that want clear source-gap analysis and already have PR, partnership, community or content delivery in place.

Once Peec identifies the opportunity, another tool or team needs to handle contacts, outreach approval and sending.

3. Searchable

Searchable homepage showing its AI search visibility proposition and platform interface
Searchable combines AI search visibility, analytics and workflow tools.

Searchable does a good job of turning daily monitoring into an owned-work queue.

It tracks mentions, rank, sentiment, citations and source pages, then its Agent turns the findings into content, technical and source tasks.

Site audits and content production sit in the same product.

Pro is listed at $125 per month.

It includes 100 tracked prompts per model, 9,000 AI answers per month, unlimited domains, 20 articles and 200 audits.

It suits teams with an established content and technical operation.

Searchable can flag a third-party source opportunity, but finding the contact, approving the approach and sending the outreach still need a separate process.

4. Profound

Profound homepage showing its marketing agents proposition and agent workflow interface
Profound positions configurable marketing agents around AI visibility work.

Profound is the broadest and most configurable platform in this group.

It runs selected prompts daily, keeps the responses and citations and uses a separate licensed conversation dataset for Prompt Volumes.

Its Pages view focuses on owned content, while Agents can create and refresh content or run configurable workflows.

Starter is $99 per month billed annually.

It includes ChatGPT tracking, 50 prompts and 100 Agent credits per month.

Profound supports approval before content is published and can route content drafts through Slack.

Its product pages also describe automated outreach workflows, with one official example sending personalised pitch drafts to Slack for review.

That makes it a strong fit for enterprise teams that want to build AI visibility into a broader content operation.

Teams that need verified contact details and outreach sent through their own inbox should confirm how those steps will be handled.

5. Semrush AI Visibility

Semrush adds AI visibility to its broader search marketing platform.

Semrush makes sense for teams that want AI visibility beside their existing SEO research, auditing and reporting.

Its AI Visibility Base plan costs $99 per domain per month on annual billing.

That includes one Brand Performance domain and 25 custom prompts with daily tracking across ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity.

Prompt Tracking keeps daily results and lets teams open the answer and cited pages.

Visibility Overview adds topic and source opportunities, including third-party pages that mention competitors but not the tracked brand.

This works well when an established SEO or content team can pick up the next task.

Semrush can send the work towards content, direct collaboration or its separate AI PR Toolkit.

Contact verification, outreach approval and own-inbox sending still sit in an adjacent workflow.

6. Ahrefs Brand Radar

Ahrefs connects AI discoverability with its established SEO data.

Ahrefs is the standout research environment in this comparison.

It combines a large search-backed AI visibility index with custom prompt tracking, stored responses, citation pages and familiar SEO data.

It is especially useful when a visibility finding needs deeper work on search demand, backlinks, content or competitors.

European pricing checked on 11 September 2026 was €179 per month for one AI Visibility Index platform and €654 per month for all models.

Additional Custom Prompts start at €47 per month.

Paid Ahrefs plans already include a limited daily allowance: five on Lite, ten on Standard and twenty on Advanced.

Claude uses eight checks per update.

It suits SEO teams that want AI and search research in one place.

Ahrefs can surface the pages and domains worth pursuing, but contact discovery, outreach approval, sending and action-level measurement happen elsewhere.

7. Scrunch

Scrunch focuses on how websites are experienced by AI agents.

Scrunch combines prompt monitoring with full AI responses, citations, competitor analysis, personas and change over time.

Its Influence Score and source views help teams rank third-party pages where competitors appear but their brand does not.

Page audits and content recommendations support owned-site work, while the Agent Experience Platform sits on Enterprise.

Core is listed at $250 per month.

It includes 125 unique prompts, five site audits per month, one brand workspace, five users, three personas, two languages and four LLMs: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot.

It is a strong fit for brands that want persona-led monitoring and owned-site improvement in the same platform.

For third-party placements, another tool or team still needs to find contacts, approve the outreach and send it.

8. OtterlyAI

OtterlyAI homepage showing its AI search brand monitoring proposition and report interface
OtterlyAI offers focused brand monitoring across AI search.

OtterlyAI is a straightforward way into daily monitoring.

It stores AI answers, tracks mentions and cited URLs and includes prompt research, recommendations and GEO audits.

Its Citations report shows pages where competitors appear but the tracked brand does not, lets users star the strongest opportunities and exports the list for PR or content teams.

Lite costs $29 per month for 15 prompts across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot.

Google AI Mode, Gemini and Claude are paid add-ons.

It suits teams that want a lower-cost monitoring start and already have people to act on the findings.

OtterlyAI gets you to a useful source shortlist.

Contact verification, approval and sending happen elsewhere.

WORKFLOW BREAKPOINT

Where monitoring becomes action

A useful AI visibility platform should keep the evidence intact as a team moves from a gap to action and then measures what changed.

MONITOR → DIAGNOSE → PRIORITISE → ACT → REMEASURE · Monitor · Diagnose · Prioritise · Act · Remeasure · Repeat chosen prompts · Open answers and cited pages · Rank the highest-value gaps · Approve source or content work · Run the same prompts again

The comparison follows each platform from monitoring to the point where another tool or team has to take over.

Where the workflows diverge

Every platform here covers core monitoring and source evidence, so repeating those shared features would not help you choose.

The useful difference is how each product prioritises a gap, supports action and measures what happens next.

Partial means the platform covers part of the job or needs another module or manual step.

Not verified means we could not confirm it from the current official product pages, not that the feature is absent.

sourcesignal.aiAfter approved source action and later measurement; owned-content automation is secondary.
Peec AIAt the ranked recommendation; another process handles the outreach.
SearchableAt a prioritised content, technical or source task; the next step depends on the task.
ProfoundAgents can continue into content, Slack and configurable outreach; verified contact lookup and own-inbox sending need separate confirmation.
SemrushAt content work, direct collaboration or a hand-off to the separate AI PR Toolkit.
AhrefsAt analysis and export; another system handles the action.
ScrunchCore continues into page audits, recommendations and basic content work; Enterprise adds AXP, while third-party outreach needs another process.
OtterlyAIAt a prioritised recommendation or exported source shortlist; another team or tool handles execution.

How we would test these tools

We would run the same small prompt set through every product.

The prompts should be tied to revenue: category discovery, comparisons, alternatives, use cases and objections.

Keep the wording, market and test period consistent.

AI answers will still vary, but the comparison will be much more useful.

We would start with the evidence.

Can you open the full answer, see the source URL and tell whether the brand was mentioned, cited or simply present on a source page?

A single visibility score can hide those differences.

Then follow one valuable gap from discovery to action.

Take a comparison page that appears repeatedly, includes two competitors and omits your brand.

Check whether the platform:

  • recognises the gap at page level

  • explains why the source matters now

  • separates an owned-page fix from a third-party editorial opportunity

  • creates a task someone can complete

  • gives a person control before any external action

  • keeps the original prompt and source evidence for later measurement

Price the setup you would actually use.

Allowances may be counted per model, location, refresh or check.

Seats, domains, audits, APIs and extra models can change the real bill.

Finally, decide where you are comfortable with a hand-off.

An established SEO, content or Digital PR team may only need strong evidence and a clear priority.

A smaller team may need the platform to carry more of the work.
